Deadline.com hinted first but TheOneRing.net has confirmed that Elijah Wood will appear in The Hobbit as Frodo BagginsAccording to TheOneRing.net, "As readers of 'The Hobbit' know, the tale of 'The Downfall of The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit or There and Back Again,' are contained in the fictional 'Red Book of Westmarch.' In Peter Jackson’s LOTR films, the book is shown on screen and written in by Bilbo and Frodo and handed off to Sam Gamgee. (Not explained on film are Sam’s progeny later having the book and being Wardens of the Westmarch — hence the book’s title.) The fictional book, and either the telling from it or the reading of it, will establish Frodo in the films experiencing Bilbo’s story. Viewers are to learn the tale of ‘The Hobbit’ as a familiar Frodo gets the tale as well."

Russian most popular New Year movie

The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath! DVD cover
The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath! (Russian: Ирония судьбы, или С лёгким паром!; Ironiya sudby, ili S lyogkim parom!) is a Soviet comedy-drama directed by Eldar Ryazanov as a made-for-TV movie.

Simultaneously a screwball comedy and a love story tinged with sadness, the film is traditionally broadcast in Russia and some other former Soviet republics and satellite states every New Year's Day. It is as fondly viewed every year as is the American films It’s a Wonderful Life and Home Alone during the Christmas holidays. Many memorable quotes from the film have become catch phrases in the Russian language.

Plot summary
A group of old friends have a tradition of going to a public bathing house on New Years eve. Occasionally too much vodka and beer makes two of them unconscious. The problem is that one of them (Sasha) has to go to Leningrad but another one (Zhenya) goes. Zhenya wakes up at Leningrad airport. Believing that he is still in Moscow he takes a taxi and goes home. The street name, building and even apartment number, the way an apartment complex looks the same and the key coincide completely - just typical Soviet-type 'economy' architecture. Imagine the surprise of Nadya when she enters her apartment and finds a man without trousers in her bed. What's more - Nadya's fiancé also finds him there.
The movie starts with an animated prologue. The rest of the film a live-action.

Royal Film Performance and World Premiere of The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader held its world premiere on November 30, 2010 in London at the Royal Film Performance* in Leicester Square. It was the first time the Royal Film Performance was screened in Digital 3-D and the second time a Narnia film premiered at the event, the first being The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in 2005. The premiere was attended by various personalities, including Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

*The Royal Film Performance is a charity performance of a British film which is attended by members of the British Royal Family. The proceeds from the evening's entertainment are donated to the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund, a charity which offers financial support to people from the film, cinema and television who encounter accident, illness, bereavement or unemployment.
The tradition was started with A Matter of Life and Death in 1946 and has continued every year since then.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is a 2010 3D fantasy-adventure film based on The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the third published novel in C. S. Lewis's epic fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia. It is the third installment in The Chronicles of Narnia film series from Walden Media. Unlike the earlier two films, it was distributed by 20th Century Fox, and was the first to be released in Digital 3D.
Set a year after the events of the previous film, the two youngest Pevensies Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Lucy (Georgie Henley) are transported back to Narnia along with their cousin Eustace Scrubb (Will Poulter). They join the new king of Narnia, Caspian (Ben Barnes) in his quest to rescue seven lost lords to save Narnia from a corrupting evil that resides on a dark island. Each character is tested as they journey to the home of the great lion Aslan at the far end of the world.

The film premiered on November 30, 2010, at a Royal Film Performance in London. It had a wide theatrical release in traditional 2D, RealD 3D, and Digital 3D, and a limited release in 4D worldwide on December 10.

Award nominations

On 14 December 2010, the song "There's a Place for Us" from the film was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song at the 68th Golden Globe Awards. It also received 3 nominations in Best Youth Actor (Will Poulter), Best Live Action Family Film and Best Original Song at Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards.

Quote

Lucy Pevensie: Aslan, will we ever meet with you in our world?
Aslan: You shall.
Lucy Pevensie: How?
Aslan: Because there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Soundtrack

Switchfoot - This is Home lyrics
Songwriters: Dodd, Andy; Foreman, Jonathan; Watts, Adam

I've got my memories
Always

Inside of me
But I can't go back
Back to how it was
I believe you now
I've come too far
No I can't go back
Back to how it was
Created for a place
I've never known

Chorus:

This is home

Now I'm finally

Where I belong

Where I belong

Yeah, this is home
I've been searching
For a place of my own
Now I've found it
Maybe this is home
Yeah, this is home

Belief over misery
I've seen the enemy
And I won't go back

Back to how it was
And I got my heart
Set on
What happens next
I got my eyes wide
It's not over yet
We are miracles
And we're not alone

(Chorus)

And now after all
My searching
After all my questions
I'm gonna call it home
I got a brand new mindset
I can finally see
The sunset
I'm gonna call it home

(Chorus)

Now I know
Yeah, this is home

I've come too far
And I won't go back
Yeah, this is home

Quotes

Peter: This is a tomb, not a fortress!
Caspian: This is crazy. No one has ever taken his castle!
Peter: There’s always a first time.

Reepicheep: Choose your last words carefully, Telmarine.
Caspian: ...You are a mouse.
Reepicheep: (sighs) I was hoping for something a little more original.

Aslan[to Lucy] Things never happen the same way twice, dear one.

Peter: What is it?
Edmund[staring upwards] Where do you suppose we are?
Peter: Where do you think?!
Edmund: Well, I don't remember any ruins in Narnia. [they all stare up at the ruins on the cliff]

Lucy[wandering around the ruins] Wonder who lived here?
Susan[she picks up an old chess piece made of gold] I think we did.
Edmund: Hey, that's mine - from my chess set!
Peter: Which chess set?
Edmund: Well, I didn't exactly have a solid gold chess set in Finchley, did I?

Lucy Pevensie: It's so still.
Trumpkin: They're trees. What do you expect?
Lucy Pevensie: They used to dance.

Caspian: I wish we had more time together.
Susan Pevensie: We never would have worked, anyway.
Caspian: Why not?
Susan Pevensie: Well, I am 1300 years older than you.

Lucy Pevensie: I wish you'd all stop trying to act like grown-ups. I didn't think I saw him, I did see him.
Trumpkin: I am a grown-up

Peter Pevensie: Prince Caspian?
Prince Caspian: Yes. And who are you?
Susan Pevensie: Peter!
Prince Caspian: High King Peter?
Peter Pevensie: I believe you called.
Prince Caspian: Well, yes. But I thought you'd be . . . older.
Peter Pevensie: Well if you like, we can come back in a few years.
Prince Caspian: No! No, it's alright! You're not exactly what I expected.
Edmund Pevensie: Neither are you...

Telmarine Soldier to be killed By Reepicheep: You are a mouse.
Reepicheep: You people have no imagination!

Edmund Pevensie[looking down a cliff over the water] Is there a way down?
Trumpkin: Yes. Falling.

Prince Caspian: You could have called it off, there was still time.
Peter Pevensie: No, there wasn't, thanks to you. If you had kept to the plan those soldiers might be alive now.
Prince Caspian: And if you had just stayed here as I suggested, they definitely would be!
Peter Pevensie: You called us, remember?
Prince Caspain: My first mistake.
Peter Pevensie: No. Your first mistake was thinking you could lead these people.
Prince Caspian: Hey! I am not the one who abandoned Narnia.
Peter Pevensie: No, you invaded Narnia. You have no more right leading than Miraz does. You, him, your father! Narnia's better off without the lot of you!

Peter Pevensie: High King Peter. The Magnificent.
Susan Pevensie: You probably could have left off that last bit.
Trumpkin: Probably.

Reepicheep: Pick up your sword.
Caspian: No, thank you.
Reepicheep: Pick it up! I won't fight an unarmed man.
Caspian: Which is why I might live longer if I refuse to cross swords with you, noble mouse.

Miraz: Now Prince Ed-
Edmund: It's King Edmund...it's "king"...just "king". Peter's the High King [pauses] I know, it's confusing.

Susan: I don't remember this way.
Peter: That's the problem with girls - you can't carry a map in your heads.
Lucy: That's because our heads have something in them.
